Heather Xu:       It’s very common in the clients that we work with that they take on a lot of measurement activities. They’re doing a lot of things. They spend a lot of time tracking results and collecting information that isn’t actually used to make improvements or steer the direction for the future. So, two key principles to keep in mind is, one, keep it simple. You don’t want to be overwhelmed with data. You don’t want to have too much than you know how to do it. Keep it simple and focus on the things that you can use to guide your decision making and, two, know what you’re going to measure upfront, know what you’re looking for. Don’t just subscribe to a tremendous amount of data and then mine it to see “Can I find anything interesting in here? Can I somehow prove that I added value.” But, know what you’re looking for up front?
